Our staff will provide your child with personalized help and the skills and knowledge they need to reach their goals. With our help, your child can reach their full potential!

In addition to having a valid Minnesota certificate in special education teaching, all of our teachers have experience teaching students with a variety of learning styles. This ensures that your child is receiving his or her instruction from professionals who are trained in their specific type of learning challenge.

How Do Minnesota Special Needs Kids Get the Right Tutor?

At Special Needs Tutoring, we understand the importance of finding the right plan and support to help each student excel in their learning journey. That is why we offer a free consultation to help identify students’ goals and discover what support the child will need. Our experienced and Minnesota state-certified teachers work with both the students and parents to determine the right amount of tutoring sessions for the student.

Our teachers are trained to adjust their approach to teaching in order to maximize each student’s success. This may involve making small changes to a lesson, or completely altering the way the material is presented. The ultimate goal for every student is to ensure that they have the best possible chance of succeeding.

All of our teachers believe that each student is unique and has their own individual needs. That is why we take the time to carefully assess each child and match them with the right tutor. Our tutors are selected based on the specific needs of the child, their level of support, age, abilities, and grade level. We also track progress on each goal identified during the initial consultation to ensure that each child is getting the help they need to be successful.

We work hard to meet the needs of our students as they grow and develop. Our certified staff can adapt their techniques as needed, in order to reduce frustration and help our students achieve their goals. Parents can be assured that their child is receiving the best possible support in our tutoring sessions.

What Is the Cost of Special Needs Tutoring in Minnesota?

In Which Subjects Can a Minnesota Learner with Special Needs Get Help?

We currently offer reading, math, science, history, and even foreign language classes to special-needs learners from kindergarten to young adults. We understand how important it is for parents to help their special-needs child succeed in their classes. That’s why our services are designed to provide assistance with homework, studying for upcoming tests, and preparing for standardized tests, oral exams, and other assessments. Our teachers are certified in the state of Minnesota and as such have a high level of familiarity with the state curriculum requirements for each grade level and for high school graduation. This means that parents and guardians can have confidence that our teachers will help their child reach their goals and graduate on time.

Why Choose Special Needs Tutors for Your Minnesota Learner?

We are dedicated to helping learners of all ages with special needs reach their fullest potential. Our team of certified special education teachers have extensive experience working with students on the autism spectrum, those who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, and those with ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, and other health impairments. Through personalized virtual tutoring sessions, we strive to provide individualized instruction and support to ensure that every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

Minnesota is a state with students from all walks of life. Because we have so many kids who live far away from large cities, it can be difficult for many families to access the services and qualified teachers that their kids need. Even students who live in larger cities often discover that there is a lack of qualified teachers, especially if their learning challenges are unique.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed, no matter what their circumstances may be. That’s why we offer one-on-one instruction in an online setting, so that we can connect kids with the right tutor for their needs. We have a large pool of Minnesota state-certified instructors who are ready to help your child achieve their personal and academic goals.

Our online sessions use effective methods that have been proven to work through years of research into education, giving each student the chance to focus and learn more effectively. Students do not have to contend with the distractions of traveling or dealing with an unfamiliar environment. With “traditional” tutoring, these seemingly basic changes can cause such large distractions that sometimes the entire session is taken up with just getting a student to adjust. By staying somewhere familiar, many special needs students are able to start their sessions mentally and emotionally prepared to learn.

Parents can choose to be in the same room with the student to offer support. However, even stepping away to the next room can allow a student to become more independent, while still having the safety net of a parent or trusted adult in case they are needed. In many cases, older students are able to work with their tutor completely on their own. Sessions can be scheduled so that high schoolers can participate at home or even during a study hall session at school.

When your child struggles, don’t hesitate to get him or her the help they need. Often, students can get back on track after just a few sessions. We have experienced teachers who have helped students with challenges just like yours, and we look forward to working with your family.
